how much grief
do you think
one heart can take?


how much can it handle?
how much will make it bend?
how much will make it crack?
how long can it hold out
until it breaks completely?


does grief break a heart
into a thousand tiny pieces?
all jagged and splintered?
or does the heart break cleanly,
into just a few, smooth pieces?


do the pieces hurt?

it is so unbelievably sad
and heartbreaking
to see someone

100 words: you only live once

I should probably let it go. Let myself go. Jump into life, dive into it face first, and let loose. Forget everything im scared of, leave behind uncomfortability, get in there and live. Maybe love my heart out. It’s a difficult idea to grasp, but not impossible. Might just take me a little while to convince myself. I need to go out and see the world; find myself; be myself. Hard, but I think I could do it. Especially with a lovely pep talk to start me off. After all, I only have one life, and live it once. Right?
